Looks like a Manx with some ugly ass bonnet and windshield grafted on to it.

what make

Kevin that pic and Gary's pic are of Ron Gee specials that were made from a manx mould but had the ribs put on the bonnet to change the appearance slightly. The blue one has had ugly flares glassed on to use wide wheels in the mud from the looks of it. These were common in Tassie as Ron Gee still has the mould at his factory in Penguin where he fits out ambulances that go Australia wide. I have owned a couple of these ex-manxes over the years, and sold one only last year for $150(body kit only). Body on 60 single in background pic. volma

I've got one of those 'Manx' copies too. One thing though, the last person who had the car cut big holes in the bonnet for some stupid reason. Can you still buy bonnents. If you can, then who do I call and what number do I ring.
Can any one help?
Regards,
Mark

Does anyone know if Ron Gee still makes these in Penguin?? Were sidepods ever an option?
Gary, the photos of your old buggy look somewhat the same as the buggy I have sitting in my shed in Shearwater. Just a little more molested later in its life!
Do you know what happened to it?

Hi whirla the last i saw my buggy it was heading to Arthur River under it's own steam with the new owners and a couple of kids hanging out of it lol.
It wasn't even registered but they didn't care. I had never even given it a good run and they took it on it's maiden voyage after i restored it and drove it all the way to their shack at Richardson bay.
I think the new owners were from Ulverstone.
This was about thirty years ago and i haven't seen it since so it could be any where now.
Put up a pic of the one you have and i'll see if there are any identifying bits left on it if you like.
I am helping a friend fix up one similar at the moment just for off roading but it's taking us a while to complete it lol.
