40's 0r 44 IDF's
heya, I'm looking at putting in a 1915 with Mofoco 042 heads and most likely a 110 cam, CW crank, standard rockers & vintage speed exhaust.
I am also punching in an air con unit for this moahh... any thought on going with a set of italian weber 40's with a CB update kit and jet doctors
or should I bump up to 44's?.
This is going in my DC daily driver that will also do some freeway driving and long drives now and then. May also be pulling a 800kg camp trailer now
and then....
thanks in advance.....

I think you mean IDF's not IDA's !!
IMO the update kit is really only worth it if you are wanting more from an existing setup i.e you need your 40's to perform like 44's, or you're
wanting your 44's to perform like 48's..........so if you were thinking of buying 40's and then fitting the update kit, just go straight to the
44's.
And yes I have played with the update kits in my webers !
p.s. Jet Doctors are a must !

Might have trouble finding 40 OR 44 IDA's....if your really lucky or rich, you might find some 46's....but somehow I think IDF's will do.

thanks guys, at the moment I am running 40's with jet docs & update kit on my wee lil 1670 and happy with them so maybe I'll just stick with
40's if there is no real gain......
next is time to sort out the air con .....
