Beam Adjusters
Has anyone had drama fitting these?
I've cut my linkpin beam in half and tried to fit the round leave block into the tube.
Sucker doesn't fit.
The block measures 45mm diameter. I have a mate with some 'avis style' adjusters from cip1 and the block is 44mm diameter.
WTF???

Crazy crazy....... CRAZY. Typical EMPI
The whole idea of the Avis adjuster is that you don't have to cut the beam......

I think you will find Wolfsburg only own the Australian rights to Empi, there is still a company in California who is using the name

I looked at these Puma type adjusters but the 2 broad dimples in my LP beam meant it woulda been a bugger to try and remove the dimples so I just used
sway aways.
Also the locating teeth on those cheap EMPI's are shite.
madness is in the eye of the beholder

^^^ I agree, re quality and a pain to fit. I use Sway-a-way style due to easier adjustment, altho I always recommend using front end braces as the
beam is weakened where the Avis style doesn't weaken the beam (if fitted corectly....... )

If the weld on the beam is done to the correct specs for the aplication it will not weaken the beam, a root run with the tig and cap run over that
will do the trick.

front end beam I've just fitted [with height adjusters]
off a 1969 German beetle..
My beam had a RH front wheel in positive camber..
so I'm hoping this one is OK...
