Well
I can say I do currently own the 4 buggies in the shed
I would say not long after I get home there will be a few others there for some lovin, also got a Baja in need of some height which is teh first job
on the board.
Maybe we could add some off road capability to your Baja Wes as the next job ...

Can't wait to see the pictures from the trip this weekend.
Make sure you get some tough offroad shots Wes.
Cheers

a foot in each camp (3 legs)
1.

2.

and 3. although it beats the 4 wheelers no probs, still relys on them to carry refreshments out & broken bodies home.

(i hope this works)

I'd much rather be in the sand in my car than on my bike. 26 liters of fuel in the bike didn't help the sand riding either.

jeepers duude
you're keen going anywhere at all on a dominator, specially with that gear making it tail heavy & having a smmooth tyre on front. - frontend
washout city.
get something more dirt orientated & everythings a breeze.
would love to have the $$ to be choosing between a wrf450 and a ktm525 but realities bite.
stayin with the 99xr400 a bit longer yet.
forgot to add.
to trade up in bikes would cost maybe $6.5k. thats a lot of buggies/bajas/vw bits.

I've had XR and KDX's in the past, and they make life easier. But the dominator is better for longer touring, specially with the girlfriend
on the back. We would do 500km in a day, and take enough gear for a picnic. You can't put your girlfriend on the back of an XR. Otherwise I
woulda bought a Husky TE610 or something cool.

It's only when I went with the DSMRA trail bike club and hit the loose sand / rocky sections that I had trouble. On the open fire roads I could
keep up with the real dirt bikes though.

hehehe
There is a pattern here I think..
Wes's Baja - Nice paint and a bit of a street car for a good offroader.
Wes's Bike - Nice for on road needs a bit less weight to keep up in the hard stuff ..
So it is fair to say your off road car and your off road bike are both token efforts....

diff setups for diff purposes.
xr400/wrf/ktm525/buggy = more stress on bigger stuff, less concern on tighter stuff.
dom/ktm640/tt600/xr650/v6baja = less stress on bigger stuff, more care on titer stuff.
no two things will be equal using different rurlers !!!

Well
I think Wes and I have been going head to head ever since we met. He is just yet to win any
I am keen to head up to Cruiser Park or Black Duck and see what he can do with his V6 and Mud Tyres. Against my little VW engine and Street tyres he
SHOULD woop my ass, but all those who have seen us togeather just know that will never be the case and the Buggy will WOOP HIS ASS... He may have a
bigger engine now with more grunt but it is still just a Baja and they will never get close to a buggy for offroad capability.
Do look cool around town, down the local shops and in the rain though :o
Might be a good place for a club run and video shoot :kiss

Cool picture ?
It is a factual reenactment of events which have occurred in the past and are anticipated to occur in the very near future based on statistical
evidence provided by past trip reports.
