Well, they are cheap, they have all the parts laid out nicely so they must be good.
You get what you pay for.
I'd recommend a Scat or CB engine kit and have a local reputable VW shop put it together for you.

What i did when we built my engine was get a list of say a 1916 cb performance engine kit so i knew exactly what i needed, i then sourced all the
parts myself from vw parts unlimited or cip1, i ordered it in separate orders so it came in under $1000 per order so i didn't have to pay any import
taxes.... Although i'd give Rod penrose a call before you do anything as his prices seem very competitive with buying from the states at the moment.
Have a look at his online store http://www.rodpenroseracing.com.au. i
believe he is in the usa at the moment though so call him in a couple of weeks when he gets back. He should be able to put something together for
you...

Thanks guys,
I'll check the cb and scat gear out. Better to be safe than sorry!
Going to the states soon, so import taxes no dramas, will have a US address for 4 months.
cheers Chris

just to let you know Roy is the owner and a good guy ,he does not sell shit, you will not have any problems dealing with him ,he also manufactures his
own heads machined in house from american castings, again good stuff
Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.
