Lakeside Raceway happy laps with Porsche club
Well i finally did some laps at Lakeside this morning with the QLD Porsche club. It was a half hour session with cooked breakfast included. I flew
the VW flag proudly. Before the laps i had a few enquiries about the bug, but afterwards everyone came over and asked WTF have you got in that. It
was not a timed event so who knows what time i got. I managed About 180kph before the kink on the main straight. I could exit the eastern loop onto
the main straight and take 3rd to about 150 before changing into 4th. Obviously i was overtaking by the GT3's and so on but i was just as quick as
some of the aircooled porsches. It was unreal to finally see how quick my car is and not get a ticket. I know its got more in it but i ran out of
track. Cannot wait to go again. Here's some pics of the big boys i was up against.
