K.I.S. (I wouldn't call Steve stupid)

But yeah; less parts, less trouble

Although we are talking to the man who put a turbo water pumper in the back of a bug back when it wasn't so easy....

Hi

We will use this trailer for my sons Skyline drift car as well as our bugs, its loooow so that's why I like the idea of a tilt trailer.

No matter how long the ramps are you still get a peak where they join the trailer, with a tilt trailer where the wheels 1st go on the ramps you get trough which will cause no clearance issues, a peak will.

Steve

That's a nice useful trailer.

I often thought it would be a good idea to make up module that you winch onto a car trailer that was like a normal box trailer but with wheel barrow sized wheels.

I found some tilt trailers made by Elf in Sydney that look to be well priced, need to do some sums on the cost of steel & running gear etc needed to build my own.

Steve

Steve, have a talk to Larry he bought a elf trailer, not to dear and well made. Nice and solid. Tilt trailers are good just make sure the draw bar pin were it tilts is a good snug fit.

Cheers Col

It may be a bit late now Steve, but I saw a great tilt trailer for a beetle at Comboyne on the weekend. Not sure how it would go if the car had the engine weight too central - the bloke that owns it said it wouldn't tilt for his Silvia.

I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!
