DO NOT BUY ANY VW PARTS FROM REPCO AUTO ONE ETC
BUY ONLY FROM VW adavertisers on here and in VWA magazine
this info will save You heaps...
Normal auto shops are selling You a very rare [to them] item for a vintage car... hence the prices...
ALL the VW shops will post You anything You want...
Most auto shops that sell NARVA products should have them as well. They are probably easier to get in country areas as they are used in farm vehicles
and 4WDs etc..
But still cheaper from a VW shop

Are you after 6v or 12 volt bulbs?
Looking again at your car its a 12 volt model... lol
those bulbs were used in most German cars and trucks in the 60s & 70s..
where are you located?
I hope it is the bulbs and not oil pressure.. or switch..
oil pressure switches are cheap at VW shops too.
and I don't go to any VW shops either as there are none closeby. I buy via the internet .. send an email etc..
LEE
I use Mick Motors for most parts.. Brisbane..

Take a little while to get to you but try Vehicle Wiring Products for the bulbs. get all your bulbs from them as postage will be cheap too. Save you a
bundle on Repco/Autobarn.
For condenser go to Custom and commercial, VW Heirtage, Just Kampers. They are cheap as chips and $12 is still a rip off for a capacitor.

EVERY VW shop on the mainland will have heaps of those bulbs
so will anyone who has pulled a VW apart... and many people have.. and would have lots of those bulbs.. lol
send an email to mick@mickmotors.com.au and ask for availability and prices please including postage to Your postcode..
They will reply that day or next day depending on how busy they are. or You can phone them..

Those big US websites would cost a lot more than the money generated in the Aussie VW shops.
but at least there are some websites NOW in Australia with prices..
10 years ago You could still order from the website on CIP1 with prices and shipping costs...
also CB Performance a few others..
but these are Huge VW parts sellers...

Websites don't cost much to set up as you just buy a generic layout and link it to a XLS file that you update in Excel and download to the hosting
server when there is a price change. Pretty simple and can free up valueable time wasted on phone orders.
Esp for Mick's as he is constantly sending items all over Oz. Why do you think Vollks came along to test the water and they seem to be doing well.

Looks like You have a super beetle 1971-72 ??
check the fuses
then for any loose or wires that have come off the fuses
while You were checking the light bulb.
You need someone who knows Beetles Now..
its usually fairly easy to find unconnected or loose wires when You know where to look..
and how the VW wiring system works
and a wiring diagram - this may help...

If you get in over your head with electrical stuff, then just take it to an auto electrician. They don't need to be a VW specialist, because to an
auto sparky, the wiring in an old VW is simpler than anything they've probably worked on in years. My local auto electrician has always done good
work and I've found them to be surprisingly cheap. They always have it fixed the same day.

You maybe correct there...
Our great local auto electrician died and was replaced by a newly trained one who knew nothing....
Had problems fixing wiring on old tractors ????
but fault finding should be their specialty .. [wasn't his]
