I run a 690mm, but it could go a bit smaller

If you can't get the number do this. Bit of string. Run it round the crank pulley and alternator so it's a loop. Tie a knot so it's tight and the take it off. Go down your auto parts shop with that. ;)

What year is your EJ25? The EJ253(2005) I have the 690 is just long enough, the alt is really close to the oil pressure switch. Fits the EJ22(1994/5) nicely but a bit more for the later EJ25 might be better.
