WTB: Oval 3-fold rag top sunroof roof clip
Hi guys,
Wishful I know, but on the off chance, does anyone know of a good condition 3-fold rag top roof clip both here, or overseas for sale?
I've had a good look at the complete kit from vwsunroofs.com for 3-fold Oval which is very comprehensive, but want to see if there are any local OEM
clips.
Any suggestions appreciated!
**Edit will happily through in a finders fee also for a successful lead!

I bought one the the VW sunroof 3 fold clips last year .... i can only say they are brilliant, and anybody who has seen the kit, i have, thinks the
same... they are not cheap, about $3.5K landed in Australia.
But when you add up buying a second hand one, shipping and then restoration ... its not expencive at all.
I would be happy to send you some close up pics if you like as i still have not installed it.
Only bad thing about VW sunroofs is the shipping company he usess, stuffed me around heaps and took ages to arrive also the item took a small amount
of damage, but easy to fix... got to the point i had to say cancel the order and give me my money back, but John at VW sunroofs got involved and
sorted it all out ... he is a top bloke and his products are top class .... recomend his stuff 100% to anybody.

Hi mate, thanks so much for the feedback, I haven't been able to find anyone local who has actually bought one from John.
He mentions that they are identical to OEM in that you can even use parts between his kit and OG they will interchange.
Did you buy the complete metal roof opening AND mechanism as well? Did you get the rag fabric through him too?
Would love to see pics!
Maybe a mod could move this to the Beetle section and we'll turn it into a discussion rather than a WTB post for future readers?

They are identical to OEM and you can interchange parts, I did buy the full kit and the cloth and I can only say it is great.
If you buy one you wont be dissapointed.
