Not really as I asked for rust free ! and this has been advertised by differant owners on Gumtree for quite a while, my thinking, possibly wrong, but if it was any good it would have sold and someone would be driving it by now!!

I have cash burning a hole in my pocket

how about this ol girl? happy to look interstate?

(not mine - can put you in touch)

quote:

OK putting this up for sale having a clear out of some stuff

This is extremely solid only rust I found was a small 5c hole in inner front guard, this can be fixed before sale if the buyer wants

I think most know the story behind this, if you don't flick through it here

http://melburgluft.com/viewtopic.php?t=11933&postdays=0&postorder=asc...

It will be at Day of unless it sells before then, but by that time I probably will have added a few things so price may increase accordingly

I am willing to have this in RWC if the buyer wants or ready for club reg, up to the buyer

Price will vary according to what you do or don't want done to it or with it
But it will be around the 5K mark

Cheers

Thanks but if interstate I would prefer stock as the one above would cost too much to get it back to stock to get it through SA rego

Apparently this might be up for sale soon, as a stocker, with original engine/gearbox. Most of the good stuff has been removed allready, its been through a few owners since this photo. Rust free body, small amount in bonnet and running boards. Has that fantastic brush primer though lol

From what I'm aware, the car is complete, with original 1200 and box, Original Bumpers with over riders, repro swan neck mirrors, OG interior, Repro chrome trim...

If this isn't complete enough you may have trouble finding something

I might be interested in having a look if I can, I'm a new member and can't pm yet (not enough posts), but if you pm me your phone number I'll give you a call so we can discuss it?

Thanks,

Peter.

There's no such thing as a 100% rust-free Beetle, unless it's been freshly restored. Although, there might be a few of those Mexican bugs that were made 10 years ago and have spent their entire life in the desert.
