This weekend I spent in the shed.
First job was to wash and clean the car inside and out, there was dust everywhere. After cleaning the engine bay of dust I found no evidence of
excessive oil pressure blow by.
Larrys secret mod was working a treat. I then checked the tappets
and all were spot on, then a spanner check of the front end components and steering.
While I was cleaning I was thinking how dissapointed I was with my cars lack of grip and my efforts to cure it on race day.
I usually have a good understanding and feel for the car but last weekend I just couldn,t get it to turn in for me. Old tyres don,t help but I,m not
using that as an excuse.
This is my last run of the day, I was going really well and on track for a good time until?
But this got me thinking I have now taken steps to try and give
the car more grip, and this will, if all goes well, happen next season.
Until then I,ll just try to set the car with the best I,ve got.
