Lock cylinder 66 bug

Hi all,
Hoping someone is able to help. I've just purchased a 66 VW beetle and i put the key in the drivers door this morning and the whole cylinder came out with the key. The door is locked. When I put the cylinder back in I can't change it to unlock so I've had to take the whole cylinder out and get in through the passenger side. Any ideas how I can fix this myself?

You'll need to get the door open so you can remove the exterior handle. Once removed, the screw that retains the barrel will be obvious to refit, it hopefully has just come loose and fallen out.
