Need help with motor!(newcastle)
Ok so my motor is playing up and i dont really have the $$ to get it to a mechenic atm... + i would like to learn a bit about how to check stuff ect
if anyone is willing to lend me a hand or some advice.
Condition:
Motor will start fine, idle and rev fine through nuetral ok but under heavy load(over half throttle) while driving will cough and splutter and feels
like it wants to stall.
Iam located in redhead.

Do you have a 009 distributor? (No vacuum advance)
Is your carburettor a 34 pict 3? (written on side)
Generally a hesitation could be ignition timing, running lean under load or if vacuum advance distributor used, could be dodgey vac line. Could even
be an accelerator pump.
vw-resource.com has some good tech data.

Ok spent 3 hours doing all that kind of stuff this moring using the Idiots guide book thingo! Gave it a good going through and found out it was just a
loose plug on my spark plug so 1 cyclinder wasnt firing properly! Stoked it was something exxy $$
