The cars I mostly own are the Caddy, the Kalita and the Forester, I don't own the others. :starhit:

I meeewwwstly drive a Superbug, Meeeewwstly.

I reckon you need to edit the options, break the beetles up into 58-67, 68-76, Superbug, late transporters into 80-91 wedgy, 92 on, add some of the common ones you missed like Manx/buggys, country buggys, kitcars, Passat etc

a "kombi split" is a transporter
a "kombi bay window" is a transporter
an early (pre-69) vw transporter panel is a transporter, not a kombi
an "old skool porche" sounds like something found shading an olde schoole house
nobody owns a "Karmen ghia"; there may be some who own a "Karmann Ghia" out there; they probably distinguish between the two main types
if I own a VW Passat (Caddy, etc. etc.), is that not a VW? am I not welcome here?

Setting up a good taxonomy is a non-trivial task, which you have attempted to trivialise.

Yep, great idea, but options need to be sorted. No vote for me yet as it only accepts one vehicle .... and how do you choose.... ?????

Peter (hth) you beat me to it. Some great intentions here but rushed. It should be Transporter T1, T2, T3, T4 or T5. 'Split' Bugs and Fridolins were not sold in Australia, whereas VWA sells over 6,000 Tiguans a year now. Post '58 Bug and Superbug can be the same thing, but I know what you mean. Wasn't sirocco an album by Australian Crawl?

What about VW 411/412 (also not sold here)? Polo? Jetta? Passat? Caddy? Crafter? Touareg? Amarok? And if you want to include old Porsches, what about newer ones? Or other VW Group cars like SEAT, Skoda? Scania, MAN? Ducati ??

Yes you need to be able to pick more than one.

An Irish itinerant turns up at an English mansion looking for work. The owner says "Go to the garage and you'll find a 2 gallon can of mission brown paint and a brush; paint the porch there and I'll pay you 5 pounds". Two hours later the tramp returns for his 5 pounds. "Did you paint the porch?" "Yes, govn'r, to be sure there was enough paint that I painted the Ferrari as well!"

Its the opposite way in my case, my vw baja drives me...

drives me to the bank for constant withdrawals! Although for an old bird (43 yrs on...) she's getting a bit technical and moving to online transactions moreso these days, enough to make an accountant's heart clench.

old school porsche? I assume 356?

where is 914 on the list?

I have had every single year late model type 3, from 70-73 including fuel injected and only 1 model of holden (so far had 2 VPs)

plus many others co owned with my brother (padock/illegal road basher)

Lada samara anyone?

I have a 1957 bug and not sure whether I should select "pre 57" or "post 57".
According to the chassis number it was built in the last week of July or the first week of August.
I can definitely tell you it's star sign is "LEO" He is a typical Leo!
I was going to select split bug as he does have a split personality.
Is there a technical support section or a phone number to ring for assistance.
