^^ Yep, Magna spark Digital will do the trick, and you get a two step thrown in.

Hi
The 2.1 wbx dizzy is locked from the factory. Your better off using the ECU to control the timing under boost.

Hi
Sorry I gave you the wrong information the 2.1 dizzy does have centrifugal advance.
A better dizzy to use is the 2.6 Mitsubishi Magna one. Its locked and has 2 pick up coils that read 4 piston positions and TDC. It can easily be made
to fit a VW motor.
What ECU are you planning to run?

Just to add another option to this converation.... I run Megajolt with EDIS crank fire parts on my POS.... No rattly old dizzy for me! It's a bit cheaper than the MSD stuff and way more controlable and
programmable... It had data inputs from other devises such as wideband sensors, temp sensors and speed sensors, and is also has a data logging feature
built in.

Dizzy out of a Sigma/Magna etc.
Change the ignitor unit for a 5-pin GMH ignition module. Wire up as normal, but hook the 5th wire into a Hobbs switch to earth. When you get to your
preset boost level, it will take out 10deg of timing.
They are as reliable as any late-80s GM electronics...........bugger.
How about modifying your dizzy advance so it only goes to 24deg max advance, then as long as you don't boost the crap out of it you'll be fine.
Piss-easy, really cheap.
PS about your turbos.
The GTS Nissan stuff you can't run blow-through, it needs a carbon seal that you can't get for that model turbo (unfortunately, perfect size). Use
the T25, but you MUST fit the carbon seal, or all your oil will go out the back of the exhaust and MAY draw attention to the thing a bit......

How about Delco Hacking? Use commonwhore crank trigger. Easily less than half the cost of mega squirt or mega jolt edis.
Failing that locked out timing at 20-24deg is fine for low boost setups.
Good luck

Hi Bugzla,
Firstly have a look here at delcohacking.net. Basically these guys designed hardware to convert any Delco GM 808 ECM(mostly found in v6 non ecotec
commodores) to a standalone fuel/ignition management system.
AND IT'S CHEAP !!!!
My friend and I are tuning his daily driven Commo at the moment. For the EPROM daughter board, installation guide and software(all made in Perth) the
cost was around $265.
The tunerPro software enables full tuning of ignition/fuel maps, smoothing functions, dedicated boost maps, data logging ect. Much the same as mega
squirt. It's pretty heavy stuff to get your head around but given how cheap and readily available Commo parts are anywhere in Australia, it looks
like a sensible option.
Funny enough the 808 computer looks identical to what CBperf have been selling for years.
If you need any more help ill dig up some more comprehensive info for you.
Good luck
Isaac

Easy to use
Comes with everyone for 515 aus from rod Penrose racing
Bit less if your like me and go to the USA for work!
Does everything you need and comes with a map sensor built in
I sold my msd set up for one of these...
