Beetle bumper regulations
I'm in NSW with an L series bug with the ugly huge bumpers would it be legal running no bumpers as I've seen a hell of a lot without em on. I
thought it takes away your crumple zone hence illegal. I'd love to run older bumpers as I going down the rat style look are they easily adapted?

Keep your stock bumpers , early bumpers look horrid on a late car as the early bumpers are all curves which doe's NOT suit the squarer shape of the
later cars hence the late square bumpers .
Don't let body work get in the way of real suspension travel

I think the legality is more "no sharp protrusion" ie T bars
As for fitting old bars - it will be difficult as the bracket mount in different places
What ever - a bit of cleverness and you should come up with something
Futue te ipsum!!!

You can purchase brackets that fit early bumpers to a late car, I think in Queensland it is illegal to have a car withuot the bumpers that it came
with, as for NSW you would need to ask a engineer if you can get away with out them.
