dropped spindles

howdy,
I've just pieced together my dropped and narrowed beam for my oval. I've used a 60's king/link pin beam. I purchased dropped spindles from the states. the stub axles are significantly shorter then standard axles. there is not enough room to put on the 2 retaining nuts.
will this problem be fixed by using the latter model wheel bearings?
if so what am i after?
if not what's going on?
thanks...:grind:

I think I can help you out. The later style are a different thread but I do have a set somewhere that has the early style thread with the later style pinch bolt.

thanks dave, the thread is correct. the issue seems that the hub will not go all the way on. that's why i'm questioning the wheel bearing issue?

Just sent PM with contact details. It's too hot to do anything else so give me a call and we can discuss.

Cheers Dave & Andrew,
That's what i had done, The dropped spindles did not require the spacers.
