A question for T34 razor experts

How rare are the T34 dash clocks? The type with the ribbed bezel and the gold coloured centre. I've been offered one in my search for a good working type 3 clock. Since my plan is to modify the clock to fit in a Kombi, if this is some ultra rare accessory it would be a shame to hack it.

Any thoughts?

Is $30 a good price for one in really nice condition? In my quest for a type 3 clock I've been told (probably by those with one to sell) that a good type 3 clock is worth upwards of $80 at a swap meet.

Would a T34 clock because of the rarity of the vehicle be somewhat more valuable? After all they want $400 for a kombi clock.....

I won't be using the t34 since it doesn't suit the kombi decor with the gold trim. I have a couple of type 3 clocks on the way as well including a 6v, so should be one good one amongst them.

From what I understand the t34 clock is in very nice condition. Time will tell. No pun intended.

$400 sounds steep for a Kombi Clock!

Where did you get that price from?

400 is ridiculous.

thats what you would pay for a super rare NOS type 3 clock with heater timer.

I paid 240 for NOS type 3 clock, 12v but even that is getting up there in price.

T34 clocks

all 6 volt T34 clocks have the gold (brass colour) central rings. Later 12 volt changed to silver colour central rings. The colour of the hands changes with the years - red early, white from '65 onwards.. Gold rings white hands = '65 and maybe '66, '67 went to 12 volt and silver rings white hands. The clock mechanism itself is generic type 3.
Price- what s/o is willing to pay!
