VDO oil temp dipstick senders?
A bloke told me that there is a guy who makes VDO compatible oil temp dipstick senders on this forum. Anyone know if this is true?

I had or have? one. the whole dipstick is VDO.
I have no idea where it came from or how I got it. All I know it is a VDO dipstick for type 1.

I cannot comment on the justkampers one but I have one of the summer savers fitted from this link. Took all of 38seconds to fit.
Testing it manually and it sems to work. and when i get out after a long drive and look at how much it has moved it makes sence.
Cheap, easy, quick way to give some piece of mind.

I was told by a VDO gauge distributor guy that VDO no longer make the dipstick temp senders.

Hi
They can be a pain the arse. They are round so they push the oil back down the tube so you can get a false reading, care must be taken to accurately
mark the sender for high level mark and the wires get in the way and can get ratty.

Yes there is a fellow who sells a dipstick re4placement temo sender that ia normally connected to the oil llght.. it works great
first it flashes the light then it stays on....
when the oil is TOO Hot... I still use a dipstick tp check the oil etc I've never thought to connect to a VDO oil gauge???
I have another large bright light on My Dash so I can see it go on. Excellent.

Re pushing the oil out for measuring levels. Just keep the og dipstick hamdy for checking levels.
