Correct use of Engine Stand

Hi Guys

I just purchased a bench mounted engine stand from Classic Vee Dub (see attached photo).

As I have never used a stand before I want to make sure that I use it correctly.

I just want to confirm that one of the "arms" is connected to the top of the case and the other "arm" is connected to the bottom....

Regards
Greg

Yes, usually on the distributor side of the engine block.

by all means you can attch it to either the top or bottom holes but then you may find it hard to split the case.

Matt is right that bolting up the dizzy half is easier for engine assembly and what most of the Haynes/Bentley book recommend.
