1600 TP header change - j-pipes - fan ducting question

Hey Air-heads,

I have installed J-pipes on the 1600 TP i have just finished rebuilding. when running, the fan housing pushes air over the heads and also into the exhaust/heat exchanger. now that i dont have a heat exchanger, the air will blow over the heads and straight into the street below.

question.
if you install j-pipes, is it common practice to block up the heat exchanger duct. and what method do you use to block it? (rubber + hoseclamp?).

result.
i assume that all that will occur is that more of the air will be routed to blow over the heads.

appreciate you insight.

Yes just rubber and hose clamps

Make sure the carb manifolds are down tight to the heads, spark plugs and leads are good before you install the engine. Twin carbs and type 3 are a pita to work on
