My 73' convertible 'Pam'

Hi guys, longtime dreamer- first time owner!
Picked up a 73 convertible in January- 'Pam'
She goes well (really well) and the kids love the convertible- climbing in and out at school drop off and pick ups!
Only draw back is she florescent Pink!
Just fitted some fat tyres and she looks great. What's the verdict on vinyl wrapping? Thinking of getting her wrapped in matte black but unsure how the engine heat will affect the vinyl.
That's all I got guys- ill post some pics once I work out how!

Welcome to our forum and VW ownership. At least your kids can show up to school in something unique.

I am not sure how the vinyl wrap will go but I am sure someone on here will know and pipe in.

Bring on some pictures as well

Vinyl wrap should be fine. They wrap anything and everything, so I'm sure they'd have trialled it under intense heat.

Also, might want to consider not wrapping and getting plastidip.
It's basically like wrapping, but you just peel it off.

Show us the pictures.

looks like Autobarn are selling plastic dip.

Now available at autObarn dubbo, plastidip plastic coating, Plasti Dip is a multi-purpose, air dry, specialty rubber coating. It can be easily applied by dipping, brushing, or spraying. Plasti Dip protective coating is ideal for a broad array of do-it-yourself projects around the home, garage, garden and elsewhere. It protects coated items against moisture, acids, abrasion, corrosion, skidding/slipping, and provides a comfortable, controlled grip. Plasti Dip remains flexible and stretchy over time, and will not crack or become brittle in extreme weather conditions. It has been tested and proven in temperatures from -34ºc to +93ºc. Plastidip can be dipped, brush coated and sprayed. Add more layers for greater protection and grip. Plasti Dip coats and gives a comfortable, controlled, colour coded grip to all types of tools: lawn and garden, mechanical, electrical, woodworking and masonry. (Non-skid grit can also be added.)

So come & see autObarn dubbo for all your vehicle coating needs, we have paint, vinyl wrap & now plastidip!!!!!

Thx for the spiel mate- I believe that plastidip may not standup to the rigors of a 5 and 8 year old climbing all over the chassis!!
Thoughts? Responses?

I think itS only about $30 a can .
youd have to ask autobarn if you could touch up paint later on if needed.
