Rear View Mirror help needed.

Hi all, My rear view mirror on my 65 Beetle keeps fallingg down, is there a way to remedy this? I thought about putting a small grub screw in but I do not want to visually alter the mirror. I know I could replace it but it is the origional one from when the car is new and it is a Standard one so it is not chromed and only has one sunvisor.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ian

Easy fix. Lift edge of mirror glass (soft alum.) Remove glass and pad and tighten up ball socket. Put it back in reverse and tap down edge with some timber. Take your time for a good job. Cheers
