New member from Tas
Hello people,yep....been out of the VW scene for about 12 years...just re entered by getting my hands on a 75 camper (Sopru....I think). It's ratty
on the outside for now....too crappy down here for painting so It can wait until summer.
I also have a 1955 split bus that is a basket case ,it's on a friends property waiting for me to pick it up...but a newly formed small creek in the
way has put that on hold for now.
Any hoo! It's good to be air cooled again.
Oh, I am looking for a 60's beetle project for my wife...not fussed about paint or minor rust repairs (pans, posts etc) but we are looking for
something original. Any info for finding one local (Tas) would be greatly appreciated. Can't afford a fortune but don't expect one for peanuts
either. Thanks so much.

To start with , welcome to the nut farm ,
What part of Tassie are you from , as we are ex Tasmanians but still get back regulally
Also a good idea to put your location in your profile as this will help in the future when asking for help etc

Hey thanks . "Nut farm" you say.....I may well just fit right in.
Living in Launceston and enjoying the lack of sunshine and warmth....just kidding...kinda sucks.
Thanks for the tip, have updated my profile to reflect my two headed status.
Towdster eh. I brought a manx towd down from Qld when I moved back some years ago. Got myself in a bit of trouble driving passed the XXXX brewery when
my brakes failed at the intersection...side swiped a Beetle of all things when I was four wheel sliding...a kindly power pole brought us to a halt.
It's down here somewhere in Tassie.....I better look into that.
