type3 auto mid engine configuration?? Can it be done???
Hi
I was wondering if anybody has ever seen or knows of the possibility of flipping the diff in the full auto gearbox from a type3 to make it into a mid
mount gearbox?
I've never flipped a manual box myself but understand the basics, however I have never seen the insides of a VW auto.
Cheers Jade

for racing or road reistered purposes??
be a massive amount of sub frame work, let alone gear box
Apparently a lot of the sand rails do this - but they have the custom frame and are all manual??
Cant see anything that has done it with an auto
A few things on google came up
Futue te ipsum!!!

if you want an auto in that layout, you would surely be better off using a Subaru or Audi transmission. More modern and already pointing the right
way.
