2nd hand slicks...
So I have got onto a pair of m&h race masters for 150 bucks, they apparently have 80% tread and have been stored and covered for the last 2 years.
No cracks in sidewalls, rubber still soft. How old is too old when buying 2nd hand slicks? I do need new slicks and am prepared to fork out the money
for brand new ones but by getting these ill save a big chunk of cash. I'm just a little aprehensive about buying 2nd Gand slicks again after the last
ones I bought turned out to be a little on the rough side....
Cheers
Mick.

You can have mine for $100 after the next T&T Mick.
I am going to replace mine with something a bit fresher.
Mine are 26 x 8.5 MT's about 6 years old I think, still heaps of meat in them.

Thanks for the offer Dave, but I'm thinking I'd like to go to a lighter 5.5" rim with a 6" slick and go back to stock guards??? I can't stress
enough how heavy my back rims really are. At a guess I'd say they weigh about as much as an 8" wide heavy duty steelie with a 31x10.5" mud tyre on
it! I have the funds available ATM and I can't see a rim change on the cards down the track so now is the time.... Does this make sense??
