Kombi electrical
Who would I need to see to get the wiring checked/repaired in my kombi (240v) and have an RCD fitted. Auto sparkie or electrician?
Don't want anyone to get zapped

How does it work with a camper though? After all you are legally allowed to build electrical items yourself with no requirement for inspection. And
you need gas and roadworthy inspections on a van or camper but there's no electrical inspection.

Not too sure about the legal side of building 240v items yourself?But 240v is not forgiving and should only be done by a licenced electrician,with an
RCD you want it to work properly and for your own peace of mind you would do the right thing.Too many home handymen electricians have died in their
endeavours to save a bit of time and money and say She'll be right.

This is exactly why I want to do this the right way, especially when the kids could be the ones who get a shock

You could run all the cables and mount the components yourself leaving the connection to the sparky, this way you save money and be certain that it is
alright, the metal body is something that is different and if not wired correctly could become live.
