KG Windscreen
Hi All,
I'm looking at installing a new windscreen in my '69 KG convertible. Does anyone know where I can buy these from, also, if it is relatively easy to
self install?
I have a new windscreen seal and wondering if I do a self install, what is best, install the seal into the frame first then fit the screen....or put
the seal on the windscreen first then fit it to the frame.

I bought my screen from America. You will need to put the seal on the screen first and then fit it to the car.

>1966.5 is the smaller window glass and 1966.5>slightly larger glass due to the change in window chrome... the window hole is the same all
years.

the gap is 1-3mm if you have the two different wind shields sit them on top of each other you will see the difference.
Cabs will have the same rule as the coupes

Firstly,
a windscreen for a RARE [in Australia] 1969 Karmann Ghia cabriolet is going to be difficult and expensive to get..
Make sure its a laminated screen...
I would personally have it installed by an expert...
as You don't want to do it twice....
even beetle windscreens can be difficult to fit..
You do need to know what You are doing...
and how hard you can hit them... can be very difficult if You haven't done one before..

There not as rare as you might think.
My local windscreen mob had one on the shelf.
They can be a bitch to fit, though.
So I got them to fit it.
Not dear, and money well spent.
