Fitting IRS Inner Control Arm Bushes
Hi Guys
Planning on getting around to changing the inner control arm bushes (with rubber ones).
The old ones came out easy enough (including hte outer metal sleave).
Is there a trick to fitting the new ones?
Do you need a press? (or does one make it easier?).

2 sockets large enough to fit over the rubber but small enough to not fit over the metal part obviously.
tap them in a little with the socket and hammer. Place the sockets on each bush and compress in a vise. It will drive both bushes at the same time.
can't fit both at the same time? you can do 1 at a time with a block of wood on the opposite side to prevent damage to the metal of the trailing
arm.
you can also use a press if you have one.

I don't think there is salt in any shampoo
but if You read the ingredients . it has a bit pf everything else in it..
and most the words are impossible to spell..
but its all chemicals unless You get a natural shampoo..
and even then a lot of chemicals added..
Maybe biodegradable washing up detergent.. may be better..
anyway, they are all very slippery..
I thought that powder was used to lubricate anything rubber but that may be before people had shampoo etc... lol

Glycerine for lubricating rubber, natural, will not hurt the metal ur the rubber and it's what the factory used to instal window seals......

why this talk of lubes when the bushes have a metal shell?
I just press them in. if it need lube then I use moly grease to help press the metal shell in but that is only when I am installing coke can sized
press fit metal shelled bushes that require several ton of pressure to drive them in.
