Wheel specs question
Hi guys
I have a pretty basic question that I just need confirmation of the answers.
I am looking for a set of Ronal R2 Kleeblatt (15" 5.5" ET25). Whilst I am looking for these "holy grail" wheels, I am also considering other old
school designs.
The front of the 76 Type 1 that these will be going on will be lowered (via adjusters on the tubes) and I am of the understanding that 15" 5.5 ET25
will work well without any rubbing etc.
My question is this; will these specs work regardless of the type/brand of wheel?
For example, the ATS classics are exactly the same spec as the Ronals.

If the specs are as posted for each wheel they will be identical in the diameter, width and ET. that is the standard.

The only difference in design will be the inside of the spokes as depending on caliper clearance required one wheel with the exact same specs may be
flat across to the rim whereas the other may curve and hence give more caliper clearance.
That's the only concern you need to think of 
Oh and I found this out the hard way many years ago when I wanted to change to nicer alloys that std. Same specs but flatter spokes on the inside =
DOH!!!!!!!

Any wheel made to suit a type 1 or 3 post 68 will have the caliper clearance built into its design.

But only if you know that a rim was specifically made for a T1 would that be handy. The general rule for caliper clearance is useful for those unsure
or less knowledgable
As for the rims I once bought the retailer said they would fit my vehicle as had the correct offset etc but they didn't know the flat spokes would
have caliper clearance issues. Better to be safe than sorry
