Car belongs to John Ladomatos, he lent it to Rudi because Rudi's car car wasn't running, its a 1916, John won his bracket at VWMA Sydney drags a few
years ago.

Car is running 1916 built by John counter crank lightened flywheel fully balanced mahles best 94s twin 44 idfs sigma dizzy with modified curve
whitline adjustable front bar, adjustable struts up front actualy has steering lock comes back a long way when u get out of shape was running slicks
in the morning and 050 advans in the arvo advans mmm very nice,
Id like to thank John Laddimatos for the loan of his pride and joy which we entered in 4c sport sedan as my car was not running awaiting a new set of
rods out of the states was only a couple of points ahead after the 7th round and needed to finish at least 4th place, as it turned out we ran 3rd and
took the state title,once again thanks
To my sponsor Vintage Vee Dub couldnt have done it without their help and also John for the loan of his L Bug and yes that is a smile under the helmet
i always new a vw air cooled could win this championship,
wow what a year lots of carnage all the top cars had huge offs me sydney motorsport park round 6 off turn 1 at 185ks and into the tyre wall ouch
alfasud 13bturbo into the wall round 5 160k plus this thing has 406kw atw nissan pool ball job in the bowl on the new south circuit. ( mmm closed
deck forgys no 5 thrust vvt 16valves motec 25lbs boost e85 H20 400kw sounds good to me)

John, I notice Rudi was doing the 'right thing', by trying not to wear the tyres out.
Beaut photo, and great effort all round.
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

Can you tell me what struts and the spring size John has on the front?. Do you like the new A050,s. What pressure do you set them at hot.

Thanks for the encouraging comments
Rear shocks are bilstein, rear torsion bar 28 mm diameter long with 16 mm Kmac sway bar
Fronts are 250 lb springs with re-built kyb struts with bilstein insert to come
Really love the A050's tyre pressure is going to vary depending on the conditions
Car has not been run on hillclimbs so not sure how adaptable these settings would be, but really works well on long and short track at Eastern Creek

Thanks for that mr curvedscreen. Agree on the ao50's,I ran mediums and had them for 2 and a half plus years then they went hard and still had a few
events left in them..I'll be going softs next or avons..
Maybe some in car video next time??
