Tri Mil 'Tuck-a-way' exhaust system

Hi All,

Quick question for any type 3 owners that have put a Tri Mil 'Tuck-a-way' exhaust system on their car. I have a 1970 squareback & have just put a ceramic 'Tuck-a-way' exhaust on it. Looks & sounds fantastic, however the muffler sits quite close up under the rear of the car & close to the air intake bellows for the fan, the rubber tube actually looks like it's starting to concave inwards & close up a little due to the heat from the muffler.

Just wondering if anyone has had this problem & if so what did they do to rectify it??

I'm a little concerned that if the air intake bellows starts to melt & close up it will do some serious damage to the engine.

Thanks for any constructive feedback, much appreciated.

regards,
Brendan

I have been running this exhaust for a couple of years now and it's fine. Seem to clear the bellows by about 2 or 3cm. The rear apron was very close but I just pulled it back a little until it was just clearing.

Is your bellows an original or repro?

Hey cruiser, I'm not too sure mate.....I think it's probably a piece of sh-t repro one that looks to be quite old, might just get a new one and see how it goes. I have another friend who has the same exhaust and his also looks to be ok.......

Thanks for the feedback mate, much appreciated
