Wow, what a wild looking truck.
What is the story with it? Is it made by VW? Looking at the photo, it looks like it has a swing axle gearbox in the back.

Read here: http://www.oldbug.com/tempo.htm

It says there are only 10 known examples of the VW powered version.

One on the samba in the UK for $95000 at the moment. Fully restored though.

I reckon they'd be pretty noisy with an uncovered engine right behind the seat.

Was just about to post the Samba link.

Who cares about noise! has to be just about the coolest truck ever. It's even RHD and lived in Aus.

Remember Doddy had that one out the front of his old workshop for years. I think he has a couple..but doesn't sell anything of true value.

Hope you find one Pete.

I think that is now the LIME BUG tempo that appeared at the volksworld show a few weeks ago. Has speed master wheels on it now.

Hi Empi,

That Lime Bug Tempo is great, but it isn't the one we sold to a guy in Vic. The one we sold rocked up at the 2013 DOVW (in Vic) with a Winery name and barrels on the back.

I'll upload pics of when we bought our Tempo from Andrew. For some reason all the cars we sell go to Vic. The Bug is there now as well: http://forums.aussieveedubbers.com/viewtopic.php?tid=94391#pid972241

The Lime Bug Tempo Build is here if anyone was looking for it: http://www.volkszone.com/VZi/showthread.php?t=1001690

Cheers,
Trevor:).
