71 Auto Squareback with 1776 engine
Thought I should finally post instead of lurking.
I purchased my Squareback from Wayne Penrose about a month ago. You may of seen it advertised at the time. Rust free, rebuilt engine with no interior.
Anyway here are some pics. And will keep posting updates along the way.
Will cover dash with mat at this stage
Planning to recover seats in TMI red
New headliner to be installed (after nationals)
The 1776 engine
Have had to replace fuel pump and HT leads. Getting carbs looked at the next week or so.
Plans are:
Install new headliner and all new window rubbers (booked)
Install red tmi panels (already purchased)
Recover seats in red tmi vinyl basketweave
Auto upholster to install carpet - black at this stage.
Powdercoat wheels red
Paint red strip middle of bumpers.
New rubber engine, trunk and hood
Overriders
Yellow spotlights
Bamboo parcel tray
Replace dash
Install vintage style stereo.
Plus other small items replaced/fixed

Thanks mate, very happy about being rust free.
Paint is not the best looks like someone gave it a coat years ago but I love the look of it.
Will definitely keep the pics coming. Hope I can sort out the sizing issue that I appear to have on this post.

The seat I dismantled to recover, painted base in black
The wheels before
After sanding , primer and rattle can Merinello Red
Also painted some interior bits to freshen them up with black vinyl rattle can
Once seat covers arrive will install those. Still need to put some new rubbers in I have.
Plan on buying next month or so, new seat belts, vanitian blinds and parcel tray.
