'75 Super Seat Tracks
Just wondering if anyone has suggestions for the seat wobbles on a '75 Super Bug. I renewed the three nylon seat bushes on each seat, but the seat
still wobbles. The seat tracks are in good condition, although I noticed the new bushes appear to be thinner than the original, but they are worn. Has
anyone tried an insert in the track, or know where you can get thicker seat bushes or stock material to make my own bushes?
Cheers,
Norm

I had the same trouble and made new bushes out of an old nylon bread board. It has worked fine for nearly 10 years now.

Thanks Jeff. I didn't think you'd be able to buy original style proper thickness bushes.
Wife won't appreciate if I cut up her cutting board though. I'll have to keep an eye out for some nylon stock.
Cheers

That nylon material ( many different types and sections) is available from SPECIALISED WHOLESALE at 30. Verulam rd Lambton phone 49524544. Best boys
toys shop in town, tools, fasteners, hardware AND nylon extrusions. A bit far from you though, there should be someone closer who would stock what you
need, though I doubt you would do better than $3.00

Thanks again Jeff and thanks for the info donn. I'll look into both, though it is hard to go past $3.

I cut a thin strip of plastic and laid that on the bottom runner of each rail, then fed the seat in so it sat on top of the plastic.
I used an old 73 rail runner bit of plastic.
Got a stanley knife and just cut a a piece off
Worked a treat.
Bushes slide happily up and down and no rocking
