Hi there question probably been asked before but here it goes again.Can you put a TP1600 motor straight into a '58/59 beetle?This is already running 12v gear so bellhousing has been ground accordingly,12v auto starter.That being done will it bolt straight in or what else needs to be done.Cheers.

Hopefully someone can clarify this for you but I'm not sure if there are clearance issues with the engine side trays cos the 1200 is a narrower motor than the later 1600.

Cheers for that,please come on guys someone must be able to give me some more info on this as I'm sure it must of been done or tried before.
