Factory AC
Hi all. Where is the factory AC condenser fitted in kombis. We are fitting AC into Whimsy and was curious to where to mount it. Was thinking under
her? Has anybody else added AC to there bus. Whimsy is a 69 low light. Cheers all.

There's no such thing as factory A/C, there was just kits installed by dealers and there was a few different ones so condenser mounts vary as some
had 2 smaller condensers and others had one bigger one but nearly all mounted under the car.
I was at the Subaru workshop a few years back and there was a kombi up on the hoist with an original dealer fitted A/C.
I snapped a pic mainly because of how clogged up the condenser was with dirt being under the car but it was the DPD kit with single larger
condenser.
I'd hate to think how hot the floors must get with the fans blowing the heat off the condenser straight at it only inches above.
