Bamboo front shelf

I have been searching for a bamboo front shelf for my 1965 RHD Beetle and the Aussie online stores only seem to have LHD Bamboo Shelves.

I know George (Classic VeeDubs) has RHD ones on his site but I am wondering if anyone has found another site to buy a RHD shelf. Or have VDubbers installed the LHD one into a RHD Beetle.

Any help or comments welcome

Cheers

Clem

I bought one from Vollks, LHD i believe, but fits ok in my beetle. No mounting brackets needed, just slid in firmly and held with a ziptie around the steering coloumn for safe keeping.

Hey Ben, sorry I haven't called but I have been away with work and offline (literally).

Is the shelf still for sale and how far are you from Canberra?

Recommend searching The Samba for a "Bambus" plastic wicker right hand drive tray..Way better than a bamboo tray.Bought mine from the Samba for quite a reasonable price.

A guy at work has a 65 Beetle and has just bought a bamboo shelf. He wants me to fit it for him. A couple of L brackets on the side yeah?

yea have made up some angles for the side. you don't have to actually penetrate your metal.. works as a grub screw in a sense..

Yes still available mate. I'm in botany 2019.. Freight to canberra $20.
