sounds more like vapour lock is one of your issues. theres more than one problem there.

Yea, more than just the ignition causing your problems.

Idle problem could be air leak in the inlet or exhaust systems, incorrect timing, worn dizzy, worn and/or incorrectly set carb and that's off top of me head.

Hard starting when warm could first be the engine getting to hot in the first place and that could be wrong timing, incorrect carb settings etc. It could also be the coil has got too warm or isn't getting enough voltage/current, voltage drop due to worn ignition switch/old wiring/oxidised connections.

So I'd suggest starting with a service and tune up and then once that's all done and still having trouble get back to us forum peps :)

I got 2 of these from Gary (Wolfsburg Automotive) at Valla (August last year), and the first one started to play up towards the end of November, so I put the 2nd one in, and it started to play up in February, so I put points back in for the moment.

I have also been keeping an eye on this thread to see what is good, and it doesn't seem like much is at the moment.

I was running Compu-fire for the previous 10 or 15 years, but I heard they have gone off in quality in recent times.
