Smoking torque converter - help!
Hi guys, need your thoughts only on this.
As most know ehre have a Panther trike, ea81 Subie engine with adapter plate. Engine recently rebuilt.
When engine rebuilt had a gasket kit put in the type 3 auto transaxle.
Today while riding the engine gradually lost power. Got home and the engine wouldnt rev over 1500 rpm in park. Checked the carbie a 38/38 and its new
and all working fine. Then when I tried revvign the engine over 1500 rpm there was smoke coming from the square hole at the top of the torque
converter.
Auto trans oil which is 8 weeks old was fine in level and colour eg not burnt. Diff oil which was changed 8 weeks ago is fine in colour and level.

FIXED!!!!!
Amazing, only one nut on the tranny end of the selector cable was loose, see picture.
Meaning it was locked in park as it should be but the tranny was operational in reverse thereby straining the tranny to move but it couldnt hence some
smoke.
Am happy. hope there isnt any damage inside but test ride and all ok.
