I think you will find getting the padded dash the hardest part. There are small things that are different like the vents that take the air to the windscreen but, I stand to be corrected, I think that is all.

I took mine off but I can't remember if there were clips or if it was just glued on.

Hi

There are 2 bolts on far outside corners, the rest is held on by self tapers, the Glove box lid, grilles, air vents and all knobs are different to makeup for the depth of the dash. they were also fitted to povo pack 1300 Beetles from late 72 on.

It was trendy in the 80s to fit dash pads to cars that didnt have them, I remember a few late 60s and early 70s shows cars that had them retro fitted, yet these days everyone wants to rip them off.

The dash is a little different between the speedo and steering column, the recess there is bigger to allow for the pad cleareance but they usually sit down flush ok in there.

You are best to get a donor car for a dash as there is so many little bits you need
Like Steve said as well as the air vents, speaker grilles, knobs and glovebox lid you also need the ashtray, retainer ring inside the glovebox and the clips for it and drilling the mounting holes on the sides is a challange as they are up on the raised rib across the top.

I had a mint one without a radio hole cut from one of my 74 1300s I was going to fit in my 70 Beetle
