Hello from Amsterdam
Hi everybody,
"So why is this guy from Amsterdam here?" I can hear you think it. Well reason is I'm planning on moving to Australia and in particular Melbourne.
Girlfriend's a Kiwi and all.
Currently I drive an E46 Touring and I have an MX5 for my girlfriend, though if it rains I sometimes steal it to have a little fun in it.
However I love practical, but cool/weird looking cars. Vans, wagons, utes. They can be awesome and when I move to Australia I don't want to go the
easy route and getting some Subi wagon, I want something I really make my own which I can work on. So I've decided on a T3 Doka. They're perfect.
They look cool, they have lots of space, easy to work on and they fit a dirtbike in the back.
They're very common here, every website that has used cars easily has a couple listed for next to nothing. I couldn't really find them in Australia
though. I could however find this website and you guys have some great cars on here, so I figured I'd join.
I don't really know much else to say for now. I hope to be able to open up a topic of my own car soon.
Anyways, I'm sure you'll have everything covered already, but if you need help with shipping/receiving/whatever from Europe, please let me know.
I'll be happy to help. |

This one is for sale: http://forums.aussieveedubbers.com/viewtopic.php?tid=107694
Looks great, but I have no idea what it costs. I guess I will first have to move to Australia before I start making offers ;-) |

Thanks Bizarre, that one looks great. I love the ratty look on them and I hope to swap in a newer turbodiesel one day. Ah well, I'll have to see ;-)
Hope to get 10k something for my Beemer, which'll go straight into a T3.
@Empi, we'll first be coming in March for a couple of weeks, scouting out some places. If you have any recommendations let me know! After that we'll
arrange for the big move. No exact timeline yet, but next our summer/your winter would be good ;-)
Bad influences are always welcome, haha!
A quick question, in Amsterdam we have this places where you can go with your car and you can rent a carlift for a couple of hours. Is there something
like in Melbourne?
Thanks for all the warm welcomes! |
