Late Beetle mirror hole plug removal

Hi

Just had my sons bug resprayed and the panel beater damaged the left door mirror plug with his sander.

These plugs are usually ripped out by sticking a screwdriver in the middle and ripping it out.

I have a stripped down old left door here with no flipper window, so I put 12 mm socket against the back of the plug and the pushed on the socket with screwdriver, the plug pushed right out with no damage.

My son didn't want to fit a left mirror.
