[SOLD] [FS - NSW] 1960 Micro bus
For sales is a mid 1960 Micro bus. It is originally paprika red and white. It is not a respray and may have been a custom order. Paprika is a 1960 vw
colour in this was assembled in Australia. Genuine micro bus with heater log in rear floor
Had it for at least 12 years now. Have partially started restoring it and it is completely stripped and on a roll over cradle. This is the same
design they used at KCW and it can be rolled either way or worked on a 45 degree angle. There is an issue with the wheels for when it is upright and
some heavy duty ones are needed. The new owner can sort this out and it can be moved on its side.
The bus comes with all original panels and glass ( I think) and the bumpers)
Comes with a 40hp stale air, original gearbox (partially pulled down for new bearings in hubs) front beam steering column etc- All mechanical
basically
Sale also includes all 3 rows of seat. The fronts need upholstery. The middle needs the upright section rebuilding and the springs are sagged on the
base part. The rear is a base only but I have included a front seat back which could be modded to suit. Also included is a bay middle seat without the
flipper and a bay rear seat base. You can use these to fix the middle seat etc. A reproduction grab bar and ends is included and you will need another
one which can be purchased from GARYBON off the Samba.com
The only interior is the spare tyre cover plus the side panels.
Additional panels in engine hatch and rear hatch.
Includes 4 wheels but some are beetle rims.
Gerson long side sill, 2 inner sills and cargo sill is provided.
Both centre sections and 2 out riggers and centre heater tube are provided from PMG bus
Schofields doglegs are included.
2nd hand sections include the lower nose inner section ( needs doing) and plenty of floor pieces. The existing floor is worth saving in my opinion. I
have almost an entire cargo floor. I have collected drivers B pillar as well as it needs some work.
Included are the original glass taillights plus the original rear blinkers with faded lenses plus a set of nos lenses bought from a hella factory
worker when I first got the bus. There are headlights and front blinkers included. There is 3 speedos including the original for the bus which glass
is broken plus a good speed and a NOS KMH speedo. Basically I have everything for the bus except for the interior panels.

Just for the record the doors which are white on the inside and yellow on the out in the album are the ones that are available for $800.
It is also advised that the bus was sandblasted 12year ago around the windows floors etc and surface rust has occurred. I have taken many shots of
the window opening and only the front windows lower edges have a small amount of rust as shown.
Bus is located near Taree.
I also have 2 front doors off a later bus. Still icepick style but with the indents. These are not included with the sale but are available for $800.
Wont be sold until the bus is sold with the purchaser of the bus having first right of refusal.
