Diff Lock Boss Dimensions
Does anyone have the measurements for machining the diff lock boss on the 094 gearbox?

Does your one not have the boss cast on the side of the box?
Or you want the size of the hole that goes through the blank?
Or the location of the centre of the hole?
Let me know mate. Can get you measurements off my bug.

Mine has the boss, need to know where to put the hole, how much to take off the face, position of the switch, etc, etc
Talked to Hamish up here last night and he has his box out of his syncro at the moment, so we are going to strip his diff out and measure is up.
Seems to be a secret, asked Weddle for the measurements when I ordered a diff housing and they said they don't have them. I didn't believe that for
one second that a place that rebuilds syncro gearboxes and adds lockers doesn't have the measurements. If they don't give out that information just
say so, don't feed people a line of bullshit(rant over).
Thats for the offer Smiley but Hamish has got me sorted. He needs to get a front diff done anyway so he wants the measurements too.
Cheers Brent

Got lots of gearbox porn with my order. I case you wanted to know Smiley they have 5.50 ratio R&P sets for the 5 speed 094 for $95 USD NOS VW.
I have a four spider diff in my box that I will salvage the rest of the parts from.

I did see that the other day when I was poking around on there.
I was planning to try 2wding a Syncro box to put in the Baja down the track to give me a crawler gear. But after doing the math with the low R&P
in the 5 speed I think it will be the go and I can stick with the 094 5 speed box. Let me know how you go with the locker fitment. Always happy to see
gearbox porn :-)

Yes Rockymountainwesty does the mount/adapter, but add the price of the mount to a syncro box and you have a very expensive crawler gear.

I was planning to just make my own if I could. The hard part is getting hold of a Syncro box in this country.
