Subaru EJ22 1996 harness questions
So I had a few hours of stripping my harness down for the conversion, all going really well, I have been using Brents awesome pinout that I found here
somewhere, my only snag so far is I have a few left over plugs that don't seem to be on any diagram I can find, these were taped to the paired green
and black diagnostics connectors.
I have a feeling they are the subaru select monitor and possibly a obd plug and maybe a ac diagnostic plug...
Do people just keep the green and black plug and delete the rest?
It will all be OK in the end, if it's not OK it's not the end!

The choice is yours, I usually leave these along as there is software around to interface with the plugs. But the CEL will give you all the fault code
that you need.
Quote of the week
"Do I wish to send them to you again, nope, no interest can't be bothered really, to much hassle for little or no return."

Wish I could find a decent wiring diagram for the car, the other three plugs go off through the harness in all sorts of directions! But thanks heaps
for the pin out you posted though, it saved me hours of work!
It will all be OK in the end, if it's not OK it's not the end!

some help please
Hi ,
so i have been reading up lots on sub conversion in here and other forums. I have decided to do it and am a bit lost on the wiring harness. It is from
a 95 legacy RX , i have stripped it down to essential wiring but am a bit confused on the many smaller gauge loose wires that come off the 3 yellow
ECU plugs, the ones i cut were either off to the big square block connector or did not go to either the MAF, ignitor,3 grey plugs to engine plugs
etc.... do i just delete these wires or are they needed?... my ECU only has a 3 plug connector ,not 4 like some i have been researching....
the first pic is my finger pointing at wires that come off one of the yellow ECU connectors. The second pic is wires coming off other yellow ECU pins,
the third is similar.
Brent do you have a link to the pinout you posted , I can't seem to find it here?.....
Cheers and thanks in advance.....

Post up the colour wires you are chasing and I'll check my diagram when I get home in a week. Overseas at the moment..
It will all be OK in the end, if it's not OK it's not the end!

thanks for your help peeps......I'm slowly making progress. I have read up on keeping the ignition and key in the barrel for the ecu to recognise.
How do I wire that part of it up?....
thanks in advance......
