WTB Sydney Area LH Door for '68 Beetle ****FOUND****
After unsuccessful attempts to repair 2 x LH doors on my '68 I am looking for a "rust free" door. I've welded new sections on, but I don't like
how they look. I have had two doors which appeared to be in very good shape turn out to be full of bog and with the bottom channels rusted. As I'm
doing a full repaint later, I don't want the rust reappearing any time soon.
If there is any such thing, I am looking for a door that isn't rusty preferably in the Sydney area. I don't need the guts of the door only the metal
frame but will take a full door if that's what you've got. Of course the current travel restrictions may be an issue, but I'm putting it out there
in case someone has something hiding away.
I believe that the doors from '68 to '70 are identical, but after '70 they had a larger hand hole where the door handle is.
