cooling scoop

Hey I read somewhere that a bloke attached a scoop to the right hand shock tower, ran a 2inch tube up thought somewhere and pointed at the fan, fresh ambient air straight into the fan. he said it worked great. But would it?. Crazy yank I think.

what car ?

might work but the air would be baffled under the gaurd............
unless the scoop sat under the pan....

mine works great without a tube

i think ppl will laugh if u tube up, better ways of getting air in !

The 4 inch (100mm) scoop was attached below the rear shock tower and then reduced down to 2 inch ducting in thru the rear breast plate (in behind the engine) to the Fan... It has to work... I am considereng it also if I ever have overheating problems... hopefully I'll never need it....
Works the same as Air Scoops to the front disc brakes on racing cars... etc...

why not stand off the lid or have the lid open at the bottom like they do or more vents, porsche fan, power pully

i think there is too great a risk of something maybe just getting sucked in, would hate there to be a plastic bag sucked in !!
MAYBE IS A BIG RI$K !
