t3 wheels.....how far until chopping is required


hey all...does anyone know how wide tires i can put on my 71 square without chopping or flaring?

there is the wheels i want. they rears are 10 inches wide and 62cm high including tire with a 2cm offset making the tire deeper at the front than on the back (towards the car)

Not sure, they look like they may get you into strife! My BRMs are 5.5 wide with 165's at the back & I've only got a couple of mm clearance AFTER rolling the guards! This is a 5 lug swingaxle type 3 though, not sure about later models clearance.

My lowered 72 fasty has 185/65X14 and there's bugger all clearance. Not sure about the offset.

I hate to be a boring ol' fart, but why do you want to put such huge wheels on?

well...they look cool and atm i got the talls which are pretty rusty...but can be cleaned up and i have a set of fattys...which r on there now...but they need all new tires, work put into the rims to make them look nice...
but they are plain old rims...jus wide...these ones are steels but with chrome and a cool lookin patern...i figure it'd be better spendin time, effort and money on good rims...than the same one plain ones...

Jack the car up and try the rims, but my guess is you wont have much luck getting them to fit
